Amanda Tapping was born on 28th August 1965, and she is a half British and half Canadian director and actress. She is most prevalent for playing the role of Samantha Carter in an American-Canadian science and military fiction television series named Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1. She is part of the Stargate Universe and has also played in Sanctuary, a science-fiction fantasy. She is originally from England but soon moved with her family to Canada. When she was three, she attended the North Toronto college, where she excelled in Drama and Environmental Science. She then focused her energy and attention on Drama in 1984 by joining the University of Windsor.
