Amy Mainzer was born on 2nd February 1974, and she is a prominent American astronomer who specializes in infrared astronomy and astrophysical instrumentation. She works for the Wide Field Infrared Survey Exploration company as the Deputy Project Scientist. She has also worked at NEOWISE, studying minor planets as the Principal Investigator. She has proposed a telescope mission of Near-Earth Object Camera. She looked at Stanford University to acquire physics honors in the year 1996. She has also been in the California technological institute studying astronomy in 2000. She has an astronomy Ph.D. that she received from the University of California.
