Katy Perry’s full name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, is an American singer, television judge, and a songwriter. She pursed the career of a singer after singing first for the first time in church. Katy Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California. She has a German, Irish, Portuguese and English ancestry. She has two siblings, and she is known to be the niece of famous film director Frank Perry.
Perry moved along with her parents to set up the churches before they got settled in Santa Barbara. She attended numerous religious schools and camps during her elementary years. Perry’s parents struggled a lot financially and sometimes attended the food bank. At the age of 15, Perry completed the requirements of General Educational Development (GED). She left her highs cool to pursue the musical career and started learning the music lessons rented from Music Academy.
Katy recorded many albums and featured many remixes and got famous by attracting people through her voice. Her first relationship Travis McCoy ended in 2008, and since then, she met Russell Brand in 2009, her future husband.
The actress also served as a guest judge in the most popular show American Idol, and earlier, she released California Gurls on May 7, 2010.
