Anne Marie “Ree” Drummond (née Smith, born January 6, 1969) is an award-winning American blogger, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, food writer, photographer and television personality who lives on a working ranch outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Ree Drummond is best known as the author of the popular The Pioneer Woman blog and as the star of her own Food Network show by the same name. Drummond was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gerre Schwert and William Franklin Smith Jr., a cardiologist and CEO of Integris Health (formerly known as Baptist Medical Center). Her great-grandfather was Captain Joseph Dodson Thompson (born 1857), father of U.S. Representative John Thompson Dorrance III (1887-1964) and maternal grandfather of Campbell Soup Company heiress Dorrance Hill Hamilton (1924-2012).
