Ross is professionally known as Tracee Ellis Ross, but her other name is Tracee Joy Silberstein. she was born on October 29, 1972. Her birthplace is Los Angeles, California. Ross is an American actress, singer, television host and producer. She is the daughter of the great singer and actor, Diana Ross (her mother)and Robert Ellis Silberstein (her father ) who is an excellent music business manager. Her brother(Evan Ross) is also a musician, and Evan Ross is her stepbrother. She completed her studies from The Dalton School in Manhattan, Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland and Brown University, where she took her graduation degree of theatre in 1994.
She started her modelling career at a very young age when she was a teenager. Later, she worked for the Mirabella and New York magazines. She gave her film debut in 1996 in Far Harbor. She also worked as a host in The Dish and Lifetime. For her Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, she received the nominations of NAACP Image Awards. Then once again she received nominations for Critics’ Choice Television Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Acting in a Comedy Series.
